Keep your cat away from your artificial Christmas tree with essential oils

We have a cat that loves to eat the artificial Christmas tree. I read online that cats hate the smell of lime and orange. I placed a few drops of Orange and Stress Away (contains Lime) on 4 cotton balls and placed them on the lower branches of the tree. It has been 4 days and he has left the artificial tree alone and I hope that we avoid a trip to the vet this Christmas. I have applied a couple of drops to the cotton balls every four days to keep him away from the tree. Reapply as needed based on your cat.

Bath Salts gift for under $2.50 each

This afternoon, my girls and I made 14 jars of bath salts to use for gifts. We filled the 8oz jar up to a 1/2″ from the top with Epson salts. Next, we added only 3 drops of Young Living Lavender essential oil. We put the lid and rim on the jar and shook the Epson salts to mix the essential oil throughout. You can also use a craft stick to mix the essential oils in the Epson salts. We added a label, ribbon and ornament to complete the gift. These jars of bath salts will be given to Specials teachers and secretaries at school.
